Since 1993, the American Mathematical Society (AMS), one of the world’s foremost mathematical associations publishes the approximately bi-yearly book series What’s happening in the Mathematical Sciences” that reviews the most relevant and interesting mathematical developments of the given period and reports on them in a way that both mathematicians and non-mathematicians can appreciate. Volume 8, by Dana Mackenzie dedicates an article to the story of the Gömböc.
The Gömböc also appeared in “Bilder der Mathematik” by G. Glaeser and K. Polthier, in Holger Dambeck’s “Numerator” as well as in the Guinnes World Records 2011. The Gömböc is featured in Wolfram Mathworld.
