The Mathematical Instituite of the University of Tokyo (ranked consistently as the best University in Asia) hosts a world-famous collection of mathematical models, the origins of which date back to the Schilling collection.
Gömböc 1877, carrying the year of foundation of the University, became a permanent exhibit of the Collection and it is on display in a separate cabinet.
The production of the 90mm tall Gömböc, made of Aluminium-Silicon-Magnesium alloy was sponsored by Mr Otto Albrecht.
