Located in the southern part of the peninsula, with over 1.5 million inhabitants Gwangju is South Korea’s sixth largest metropolis and the Gwangju Inseong High School
is among the elite schools in the city, specializing in mathematics. The school decided to include physical experiments with Gömböc models in its mathematical curriculum. Upon recieving the Gömböc models, they not only used them immediately in class,
but also ran a special seminar on the Gömböc in the School’s Club.
The manufacturing of the Gömböc Light models and their transportation from Budapest to Gwangju was generously supported by Mr Ottó Albrecht.
